A New Hampshire woman was arrested on Saturday at the “No Kings” protest in downtown Warrensburg.

Catherine Benincasa, 32, from Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested around 5:19 p.m. on Main Street.

The arrest came after Benincasa engaged in an argument with a male who was at the event in support of President Trump; the argument escalated, and Benincasa struck the man in the head with a piece of wood molding.

Benincasa was arrested and charged with the following misdemeanors:

  • Assault in the 3rd degree
  • Menacing in the 2nd degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree

She was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court, where she was released and is due to appear in Warrensburg Town Court at a later date.
