Identiv Introduces Wireless High-Security Access Control Integration with Hirsch Velocity Software and Allegion Schlage Wireless Locks at GSX 2018

Hirsch Velocity Software Security Management System Now Integrates with Allegion Wireless Lock Technology, Increasing Security Quickly, Easily, and Affordably

FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Identiv, Inc. (Nasdaq: INVE) today introduced the integration of the company’s award-winning Hirsch Velocity Software security management system with Allegion's Schlage® wireless lock technology at Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2018, formerly ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits. Allegion is a leading provider of security products and solutions. By integrating with the latest Hirsch Velocity Software, Allegion wireless lock capabilities are expanded to include the best-of-breed features and benefits of the Velocity system at a lower cost than a wired system.

The latest version of Hirsch Velocity 3.7 delivers unsurpassed security, interoperability, backwards compatibility, and the ability to expand to accommodate evolving security, business, and facility needs. Hirsch Velocity brings its full feature set to Allegion’s Schlage wireless locking systems, including management for access control and security operations in hundreds of different facilities, from single high-security rooms to multi-building, multi-location campuses. Hirsch Velocity combined with Allegion’s Schlage wireless locking system is the perfect solution for full-feature-demanding environments that are typically expensive or impractical for hard-wired systems, including schools, historical buildings, utilities and other dispersed buildings, hotels and other multi-tenant buildings, and satellite offices or inconveniently located single doors in an otherwise wired system.

“Wireless solutions have transformed electronic access control by reducing deployment costs and thus increasing reach and enhancing security, convenience, and efficiency,” said James Pabon, Allegion Software Alliance Channel Manager. “With a Hirsch Velocity integration to Allegion’s Schlage wireless locking systems, end-users will benefit from the entire suite of leading-edge Velocity features, giving them greater control over every connected opening, meaning greater command of facilities as a whole.”

By tightly integrating the Schlage wireless locking systems with Velocity, users will have unmatched capabilities at their fingertips. Providing them with access to a full range of features typically only available with wired lock systems, the integration will allow for the most secure and advanced configuration options. Facility personnel can control doors, gates, turnstiles, elevators, and other building equipment, monitor users as they move around a facility, prevent unwanted access, maintain compliance, and provide a robust audit trail. By combining the power and cost-effectiveness of Hirsch Mx-1 Controllers, Velocity’s configuration and management options, and the flexibility of the Schlage wireless locking system, Identiv is able to provide users and integrators with even greater capabilities and design options at industry-leading price points.

“We’re excited to offer support for the popular Schlage NDE, LE, and AD series wireless locks by Allegion,” said Sam Tuthill, Identiv Senior Product Manager. “Hirsch integrated locksets, in particular, offer real-time lockdown capability, which is a vital advancement in wireless solutions. Installation of a Hirsch Mx-1 Controller with Schlage NDE locks and Hirsch Velocity Software will retail between 50 to 75% less than similar wired lockset doors.”

The Schlage NDE, LE, and AD wireless locks with Hirsch Velocity technology are designed to be easy to install, connect, manage, and use. Developed specifically for facilities that want to upgrade to electronic credentials for improved security and efficiency, the integration will be ideal for interior office doors, common area doors, and sensitive storage spaces.

The solution will be available from Identiv starting November 2018. To learn more about Identiv’s Allegion wireless lock integration with Hirsch Velocity, stop by booth 1222 at GSX 2018, visit identiv.com/allegion, or contact sales@identiv.com.
